Hi

I've figured out how to make the fish in the box do his thing. See that big blue button? I just push it. Sometimes in the middle of the night, I accidentally whack it with my head or my feet and the fish starts swimming and singing and blowing bubbles. Surprise!

Mama got me a new chair that puts me up close to any table! It's a Zooper Hook-on High Chair. She says it's mostly for eating out at restaurants, but we have it on the bar so I can watch her make my bottles. Or watch Grandma wash my bottles.

Daddy helped me go to sleep one day. Guess I helped him go to sleep, too.

I tried carrots a few days ago. I'm not too impressed, but I do like the way it spreads. And the bowl feels good on my gums.

A few recent photos

Mama and Daddy took me to Riverside for a party. Daddy's best friend, Kent, and his wife, Pam, are going to have a baby soon. Daddy says that boy will be my very best friend, just like Kent is to Daddy. I'm not sure exactly what that means, but Mama says it's somebody who knows all about you, and loves you anyway. So, while we were at the party, I got sleepy. Daddy took me outside to swing on these fancy chairs at Kent's daddy's house. I slept good.

Daddy's teaching me how to fly. Maybe I'll be a bird when I grow up!

I love oatmeal. It is SO yummy. It makes me smile. I don't hardly even make a mess anymore!

I got a new toy. Inchworm smiles at me. I LOVE smiles! Inchworm has tasty horns, too. I bite them whenever I can.

Anybody else get stressed during the Lakers/Suns game when Shaq first played Koby? Sheesh, I was pulling my hair out!

Out and about

Two of mama's very best friends from when she was really young came to visit. Jennifer and Jack arrived about lunchtime, and Stacey wasn't going to come until supper time, so we went to the beach and the Santa Monica Pier while we waited. It was a nice day and I had a nice ride, except the boardwalk is pretty bumpy. But people smiled at me a lot, so I didn't mind much.

Then we all went to Disneyland! I don't know who this big doggie is that mama had us take a picture with. I was trying to get an explanation when they took the picture. I guess the doggie was in a hurry. From the looks of that tongue, I bed he was in a rush to find his water bowl, because it was HOT outside.

My first roller coaster

Tonight we went to Lucy's new house. It has a roller coaster inside! Mama decided we should ride the roller coaster to the second floor. Their diaper changing pad was upstairs and mama said the roller coaster was nice for people holding squirmy babies. I don't know about squirmy babies, but I thought it was good fun. Mama says roller coasters get even bigger and faster when I'm older. I can't wait!

On the move...

My new skill! Mama says she'll be happy when I figure out how to go the other way...

A day of great adventure!

It was raining today and mama decided we should go shopping because the shower door repair man came early enough that we had time. I got to play in a different contraption, kinda like mine at home, only different. Maybe better!

Mama also said I needed a new toy, even though she wasn't sure where we are going to keep it. I say there's always room for more toys! Here I am with the bear thing. I kick the ball and the bear's head bobs and he sings silly songs. I kick very hard, though, so sometimes the ball almost goes over the bear's head!

Mama started giving me baths in the kitchen sink instead of her bathroom tub. Something about her aching back. Here I'm holding my feet up so she can wash my goodies.

I found a new way to ride in my stroller.

Soulmates

My daddy loves me. He was gone all day yesterday, last night and today. When he came home this evening, he rushed in to say hello, but was sad when I was already asleep. He took some pictures of me making funny faces in my sleep, which eventually woke me up. So I was extra tired and decided to cry. Daddy carried me into my room and helped me fall asleep by holding me close and squeezing my fingers. I guess Daddy was tired, too, because he slept with me about 30 minutes. Mama sneaked in and took our picture.

Hi

Mama got a new saddle for me to ride on. I can ride on the front, side or back. Here I am on the back. I like that plant over there. It's pretty, and it's dancing in the wind for me!

Like my legs?

So many fish...

Here's Lucy, my girlfriend. Remember THIS picture of us when we were young? Now we're much more grown up. She smiles at me now. A lot. Maybe she was hoping I'd give her a pair of my Babylegs, but I think she's needs some pink ones, which I don't have. I held her hand a while; it tastes different than mine.

Don't tell my Sabbath girl, Melia, about Lucy, though. She might be sad that she's not the only girl that makes me smile.

Puppy

Here I am with my puppy, Brady. He's pretty big, but mama calls him a baby, too. He has way more hair than I have.

So in other news, Evil Doctor was squishing my belly at my appointment last week, and he decided he didn't like something in there. He said my spleen was too big and made mommy take me to the hospital for some tests. First, mama wouldn't give me my breakfast, and big man put cold jelly on my belly and mushed it all over with a wand, taking pictures of my insides. Finally I was able to eat breakfast, but then two mean ladies in a different room (mama called it "the lab") held me down and drained my blood into a bottle and attached a plastic bag to my private goodies to catch my pee. NOT a good morning.

Then, that afternoon, we drove all the way to the House Ear Institute to have my hearing checked again. I didn't feel like sleeping for as long as the test took, even though mama got to hold me in a rocking chair this time. I think we're going to do it again in a couple of months. Mama says they'll give me something special to make sure I'm sleeping this time, because I'll be old enough then. They said that the one ear they got done was good news, though. It looks like barely a "mild" loss instead of "moderate" like they thought last time.

The doctor called mama that night to say that the test (meganoise? ultranoise? megasound?) showed that my spleen is too big, and that is probably caused by a virus, but we don't know which one. Evil Doctor wants to squish my belly again in a week to see if maybe it was caused by the little cold I had last weekend.

I had a terrible incident this week, too. I woke up during the night and was wiggling around and somehow ended up on my belly. I HATE being on my belly! I peed through my pajamas and was really cold, so I decided to holler for mama. It worked, and she came to save me, except instead of rolling me over, she laughed and said something about wishing she had a camera. She did eventually get me fixed up, but told people it was my first time to roll all the way over, and said I looked like a sky-diver who was freaking out, because only my belly was touching the crib and my head, arms and legs were waving around in the air. Well, I didn't do it on purpose, and I haven't done it again since. Maybe one of these days I'll try it, just to see if mama gets all worked up again.

Santa

So today I met that guy who's suit mama made me wear for her office picture. Except I'm sure he wouldn't have fit in it. He was much bigger than me. I was pretty tired when we got there, but I held it together long enough to pose for a picture (see below). I couldn't smile though. Too much effort. But he seemed nice enough. Not sure why the girl in front of me got so scared and cried.

Angels

Today mama dressed me up in some guy named Santa's suit to be in a picture with her work people. When we came home, she let me make snow angels! Well, maybe it wasn't snow. It was the back of a satin blanket. But I don't think she'd lay me on by back in a snow bank anyway, so this was better.

Froggy friends

Here I am in the jumpy thing I mentioned a while ago. The froggy is my new friend. He smiles at me. So does the sunflower behind me. I like smiles.

Then I thought I'd throw in one picture of mama and me at Thanksgiving. I like these big bags of beans!

All night

When I woke up hungry at 5:15 this morning, momma was smiling at me, which she doesn't usually do when it's still dark outside. I wasn't sure what I did right, but she said something about how she'd missed me, because she hadn't seen me since 10 last night. (I usually see her at midnight and 3:30 a.m., but I guess I was extra tired last night.)

Today we packed into the car and drove over to See Me Valley to some elephant's bar for lunch with mom's friend Michele. She smiled at me, but I was too sleepy to work my flirt mo-jo. We also went to momma's office, and all the ladies there were mad that I was sleeping so soundly. A few tried to wake me up, but I was trying even harder to stay asleep. (I was dreaming about boobs, and no boy wants to wake up from that dream!)

I'm talking and telling short stories these days, which momma and daddy seem to like. I'll have to get a video of me posted so you can hear my latest tales. Momma's boss's wife gave me two toy trucks today, too, which mom says will be soo much fun when I can hang onto something bigger than her finger.

New thing

So my mom picked out a new thing to entertain me today, and had grandma pick it up when she was at Babies R Us. It's called a Baby Einstein™ Musical Motion Activity Jumper, whatever that means. It's pretty fun, but mom says I'll like it even more when I'm bigger. I can touch the floor, but it's still on tippy toes, which were a little scrunched today as it was because my sleeper outfit is too short. I have no idea what all the parts of it do, and mom said something about how it figures it'd take C batteries, since that's the only size we don't have. But that's OK, because my favorite part was the little red ball on the right side, which I spun with my hand over and over and stared at the little beads skipping around inside. Fascinating. I'll have to post a picture of me in it soon.
